The room might have been 12 ft. [feet] sq. [square] & was very neat.

At noon stopped at Dendoor [Dendur] & a few minutes walk brought us to the temple part of the low wall of enclosure is standing also the pylon without any towers [walls], the entrance hall is in a ruinous state & the sculptures are in the decline of art - the hieroglyphs are generally raised & saw the serpent twined above the head of a woman (not on it).
On the top bought a fine scarabeus.

A young Englishman there said the tropic of Cancer ran through it.
Saw the serpent twining around the staff.
Over an entrance were the extended wings with the sun & asps in the centre & directly above it another set of extended wings with a scarabius in the centre.
A very gusty afternoon - sky cold & cloudy, looking as it does early in our November.
