I have now been in Folkestone since September 22,
in the school. It is very nice here
but I really, really dislike being here without
my parents. Even though I have my sister
here. I have a very hard time
communicating because they all talk so terribly fast

Yesterday evening, for the first
time, I had my period. I think
that it is the most unpleasant thing
one can imagine.
Too bad that now I will have it
for such a long time! From Nurse, I
got sanitary pads, they are the most
unpleasant thing that can be
imagined.
Today, from morning until now I have
been lying down. It is three p.m. now. I
have to [write] Mama a letter now about
all these things.
