to write in my diary.
Tomorrow the bishop is coming
and so we all have to be very quiet.
The girls from Remove (that’s
us) go upstairs to the senior girls,
and the girls from the third form have their lessons
in our house. The ones in
our house have all their meals
in our house. So,
all the others also have their meals in the house
in which they live. I
don’t know much to write, but I
am just writing whatever comes to mind.
But I’m afraid that not much
more will come to mind. I wish

dreadful. I am awfully glad
that I don’t have to learn French.
But I would especially
like to learn Latin, but in
my grade there is only French.
I’d like to trade with the girls
from the next grade, but it
won’t work because in one
half-term I can’t change grades two times.
So I have to
let things stay as they are. Now
I really have to stop
writing, too, because the lesson
is already finishing up.

Today the Bishop of Dover
came to our school and
so naturally the whole schoolhouse
