even this afternoon and made some vague remarks
about rumours of stoppage only this evening.
News spread in town again about the
invasion, but nothing on B.B.C. I think it is only
a Jewish make-beleive, [believe] they have no radios
any more and their only hope is an invasion

be really something in the rumours, either this
or the other side would have blurted it out.

April 22. Saturday.
The morning I had an [strikethrough] [?] [/strikethrough] appointment at the Social Insurance building. There seems to be plenty
of work and soon I shall be up to my ears
in work again. Seen Erzsike, a few minutes
with the Hermans. Again new regulations with

day. Yesterday it was their [strikethrough] shops [/strikethrough] businesses, today it is
their rations. From the 1st of May on they will
have the 1/3 part of sugar, half of the fats,
weekly one ration card of beef (10 dk), but we
