Judge of said the Probate Court in and
for said County

We the undersigned, most
respectfully represent:

That Brigham Young late of
Salt Lake City, County of Salt Lake, Territory
of Utah did in said city August 29th 1877
leaving a last will which was duly
admitted to probate 19th day of September
1877, and by which he appointed George Q.
Cannon
, Brigham Young and Albert Carrington
as the executors thereof that afterwords
to wit, Oct. 6th 1877 The said Brigham
Young
qualified as such and gave
bonds for the faithful performance of his
duties in the sum of one hundred thousand
dollars, on which said bond the undersigned
became and are his sureties; and
it is provided in Section 78 of "An act regulating
procedure in probate courts", approved
February 18, 1876, that when either or
all, of the sureties of an executor or administrator
shall desire to be released
from responsibility, on account of his
future acts, they may make application to
the probate court or judge for relief, and
the court or judge shall cause a citation
of the executors or administrators to be
issued requiring them to appear at a time
