Dear Sir: Having read the papers of Salt Lake City for the last thirty days, I have come to the conclusion that Josepf Hillstrom, convicted to be shot was in reality not prosecuted, but persecuted, and I therefore appeal to your sense of justice to either to pardon the man or to give him a new trial. To the governor of Utah I write you thease lines in the interest of Joe Hill or Joseph Hillstrom who is marked for slaughter Oct 1.1915 are you as govenor of Utah going to sit with folded hands and allow an innocent man to be shot? a man who has had no chance to defend himself Joe Hill has protested his innocence but has hand no chance to prove it, I as an american who loves fair play and a square Deal Demand a new trial for Joseph Hillstrom
