To the Gov. of Utah,
Salth Lake City.
Dear Sir: - Believing you
to be a God-fearing, upright man
of honor, and knowing that you
hold within your power, the
right to pardon a condemned
man, and believing Joe Hill
wrongfully accused and con-
demned to die Oct. 1 - 1915, we
beg of you, in the name of
humanity, in the name of
justice and right, to save his
life, and restore him to his
rights, to his home and his fam
ily, his fellow laborers, believing
that in so doing you will com-
mit an act, for which you
will not only be thanked and
praised by the workers of the
world, but for which you

will ever after be thankful
and conscience free.
Believing that you will
not turn a deaf ear to our
plea, knowing that the death
of Joe Hill will strike a vital
blow to freedom and justice
and thanking you for your
kind attention, we are,
Yours truly,
Mrs. Jennie F. Webb
