Governor of Utah Dear Sir:-

Undoubtedly you are aware of the fact that a prison within the borders of the great state of Utah contains the manly and stalwart form of Joe Hill a truer or braver man never lived. I am familiar with some of his poems and writings and I am sure that if Joe Hill is shot on October 1st it will be one of the most infamous miscarriage of Justice in the United States. It will be nothing more than foul murder and no more fitting

inscription could be placed on Joe Hill's grave than these words "Murdered because he was loyal to the Working Class." I write this letter in the hope that you the governor of the State of Utah will do your utmost to free or liberate Joe Hill. I am sure that he is as inocent of any crime or murder as was Christ of Calvary. Both working and preaching in the interests of the common people of the working class.

Yours Sincerely Chas. Frosch Sept. 10, 1915
