Bar Harbor, Me,,

Sept. 8th, 1915.

Answered.

Governor of Utah,

Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Sir,

My attention has been called to the fact
that a working-man by the name of
Joseph Hill is to be executed by the
state of Utah on October first.

From the facts of the case against this
man, Hill, I want to say that I [believe?] it
is a case of injustice. Utah wants to
kill Hill because he stands for his class
and it is not a tool in the hands of the capitalist
class in Utah. When Utah kills Joe Hill, it
commits murder.

You alone have the power, to stop this
damning outrage.

And I ask for you, as Governor of the State
that intends to kill this champion of labour
