Tuesday, January 6, 1880.
City Council met in the tithing office.
Mayer Larsen presiding. Prayer by John
T. Lambert. A petition fomr Green W.
Allred and others asking an appropriat-
ion for services in working the springs
in the mountains was read. But as
others had worked whose names were not on
the petition, it was laid over for further
consideration and the Recorder was instructed
to invite Green W. Allred to the next meeting
of the council with a list of all those who
had worked under him.
Joseph A. Allred, Head Water Master asked
for an appropriation of Three ($3) Dollars
for services in turning off the water from
damaging the city. The council appropriated
Three (3) dollars in city taxes or wheat at
Ninty cents per lb. to Jos. A. Allred.
Councilor L. Larsen stated that it was
necessary to revise many of the city ordinances
and in his opinion it should not be delayed.
The Mayer and councilors expressed themselves
that the ordinances should be revised.
Prayer by Thomas B. Allred, council adjourned
for one week.
Tuesday January 13, 1880.
A minority of the city council met in the Tithing office
and adjourned for one week.
