In the name of God, amen I Maria A. Wise
being weak In body but of sound mind & memory,
thank God for the same do think proper to
make publish & Declare this my Last Will
& Testament as follows -

Item- I give to my sister Sarah S. Gardiner
all my housen furniture In consideration
and as payment for the sum of one Hundred
and Sixty five Dollars which I borrowed of her
In July 1826, which she has agreed to take as
full payment for the same-

Item- I Lend all the Remainder of my Estate
both Personal & Real to my mother Elizabeth
F. Gardiner during her Natural Life and at her
Death I give the said personal & Real Estate
Equally between my two Sisters Emma E. Snead
& Sarah S. Gardiner or their children if any;
at the death of my mother- In case at the Death
of my Sisters Emma & Sarah neither should
Leave a Child nor children- It is then my Desire
that my Two Cousins Eliza A. Jones & Maria J. Read,
should have Equally the above personal & Real
Estate to them & their Heirs forever. It is further
my Desire that my mother should have marble
head & foot peices put to my Grand-father my
Father my Brother and my Husband my baby
Victor & myself and the Grave Yard Inclosed with
brick. Witness my Hand this the 12 June 1828-
