28th May the 14.th 1760-
Gentlemen,

You'll find by the Manifest of
the Jacob and Joanna that I have on board
her sixty two Lhds of Tob.o, which, are two more
than I ordered Insurance for; as soon as the
Bills of Loading come to hand, I shall inclose
one, in Case of an Accident --- As I am
in y.r Debt, I desire you'll embrace the first
good Offer for this Consignment, of which, I
can thus far say with Truth, that I have en
=deavour'd to have it handled neatly, and
from it's Character, I may flatter myself
with the Expectation of an agreeable Price
for it -- The Sales for my last seventeen Lhd[s]
by the Arnold, I have not receiv'd yet, therefore
conclude they have miscarried -- Be pleas[ed]
to answer the several Letters, I lately wrote
you, by the first Ships, and you will much
oblige Gentlemen ----
