I hold the [two?] Bonds men-tioned in your letter of 25^th [inst?] as collatte-ral security for $500 advance thereon. I shall be pleased to surrender the same upon the payment of the $500, with [intense?] at 10 [pact?] according to the terms of the note given therefor. This proposition is made & will be adhered to at any time previous to the [sale?] provided for in the collateral note, which I propose to make at an early day, unless the matter is satisfactorily arranged—
