[Deardly?] Alvord

I met Terry just now and he asked me if I would take Woodwards abstract. To which I replied that I would not for a title that Edwards & [Barnard?] had rejected He said he had not [yet?] [sec?][d?] their abstract, but they made so [foolish?] points he would rather get somebody else.

I have a large number of applications for loans some of them good, most of them doubtful—none that describe what you want [unless?] [leox?] will do. I proposed to him to take $2000 but he wants $2500 or nothing. The right man will come along I have no doubt before long.

I have 20th & E [advertise?] in the star and [am?] [trying?] to find a tenant, but at this season, every body is going away from the city and good tenants are hard to find, unless for a specially attractive house

Your son's letter from Colorado does not state the precise [hou?] to he is [ou?]. [If?] [son?] can give that,—from where to [where?],—I will do the best I can to obtain what he wants

Hoping you and Mrs A are enjoying your visit [now?], [comparative?] freedom from care I am truly [germs?]
