after her that the season [I help]her written door. and she had the cheering and [sunshine] of Spring and the active occupations it always brings she wou'd not in all probability have so much time to dwell on her[] by, and [?] [?] – I have had a severe cold ever since I left you - it was increased by my going out a great deal at first – and now seems obstinate altho I stay within doors and nurse it – the weather in fact has been so [?], first cold and then damp, that I don't calculate on being reliev'd until there is more steadiness in the temperature of the air – Mr. T. is in Accomack attending to his concerns there – Give my affectionate love to Arthur and Anna – Mrs E – and all friends, in which [everyone] joins. Your affectionate sister E.U.T.–
