My beloved sister

Once more I find myself enjoying in the line of my vocation. Once more am I doom'd to regret the loss of those enjoyments of which I tasted so fully in your society, and that of my dear brother and friend at Eyre Hall. Nor think my dear sister, that amongst these so reflections on the evanescent pleasures of this life, I lay the least stress in the world on the lost oysters and other good things i partook of so fully at your interesting board, and the other [ ] of my well beloved friends! ah no! for although I felt their value in its true force, and paid my respects to them with due deference, yet have they had little weight, excellent as they were in the balance of my better affections. Neither does my mind revert to the dear delights of showing off my [gimp] wig amongst admiring gazes, nor to the still dearer pleasure of hearing my "Jessy" commended
