Mr. George R. Metcalf, President
National Committee Against
Discrimination in Housing
323 Lexington Avenue
New York, New York 10016

Dear Mr. Metcalf:

Thank you so much for your kind note. I, too, enjoyed myself tremendously the day we got together. It was wonderful just to be in an atmosphere that was not hostile. Talking with you gave me more a lift than you can know.

And thank you, too, for the subscription to Trends. I don't see it regularly. Occasionally someone will send a copy when there is something particularly interesting in it, and i always mean to write them and ask to be included on the mailing list. But things get put off. So I do very much appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Sincerely,

Vel R. Phillips
