Petition of the Board of County Commissioners of Racine County for a law legalizing certain of their acts.

To the Honorable Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Wisconsin

The undersigned the Board of Commissioners of Racine County respectfully shew that, whereas doubts have arisen as to the legality and formality of the assessment and tax levied in said county for the year 1838 - And further whereas doubts have arisen as to the legality of the contract entered into by said Board to sell to Gilbert Knapp the quarter section whereon the county seat of said county is located for the sum of $7823.75/100 the undersigned therefore pray that their said acts as to the said assessment and as to the said contract be legalized.
