To the Hon'l Legislators of the State of Wisconsin in Assembly and Senate Convened-
The undersigned inhabitants of the County of [Couryaeu?] and of the 7th Judicial Circuit in the State of Wisconsin-
Respectfully petition your Hon'l body to repeal a law passed by your Hon'l body last winter dividing the 7th Judicial circuit and constructing a new judicial circuit-Your petitioners would represent, that, the original 7th circuit being composed of the Counties of Marathon, Portage Waupaca, Waushara, Wood, Adams & Juneau was now to large as it was, and that the duties of judges of said circuit [as it was] [illegible] no more than the could easily & reasonably perform-and that the 7th circuit as now constitute being composed of the counties of Marquette, Waushara, Waupaca and Shawano, will not occupy the time of the judge of 5th circuit-now than seven [meets?] in a [year?]-
Your petitioners would further represent that the public interest or good in no respect or some demand the formation of 5d new circuit,-but on the contrary that the same is among [anguish?]-and burdensome to the people-and as in duty bound to will ever pray
