To the Honorable the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin
The undersigned inhabitants of the town of Pewaukee, Waukesha County have first been informed that a petition has been industriously circulated by a few persons the affect of which is to take from the town of Pewaukee the south tier of sections, and annex them to the town of Waukesha. We the undersigned do most earnestly protest against such division as no possible good can result from [if?] our town is well organized so far as schools and other matters of importance are concerned, and any division of the kind contemplated would we think most seriously embarrass us.
