Sir I receaved Theserdaye a letre from Gray, wherin he hath advertised me of youre fatherly kindnes towardes my Knight in supplyinge his want, wherin I do assure my selfe you shall finde him in all respectes fullye answerable to youre best expectation of him: when you are at Hunston I shall wish my self their so as I might avoide the extraordinarye charges? that might growe therby, the which nowe I thinke it tyme to looke unto, the rather wherby to hasen my comminge to line in place wher nowe I take it to be my greates comfort and yet contente my self to say, till fortune shall aford me fitt? for the place, I would be glade to heare by this bearer of the p[er]fecte recovery of youre trobles In firmitye: Thus havinge no newes to advertise you of do humbly take my leave, desiringe youre and my mothers blessinges to me and mine, not forgetfull of my commendacions to my grandmother and my sister Parston committinge you to the tuicion of the Almightye. wyverton the 24?th of August

My dewty remembred unto you and my mother ye I could not let this bearer passe whoul signifyinge unto you the good health of my Knight and my selfe. My daughter Elizabeth hath bene twise visited with an agne and hath kept her: and it hath lately taken her againe and nowe is come into a double tertian?, gods will must be fulfilled, I besech him to geve me grace to beare all his crosses with patience god grante thou coutinuauce of youre health. Wherby I may see you here the next Sommer which wilbe greatly to my comforte, my Knight is so busied with his Hauckes? as that he hath no teystue? to writte unto you and therfore willed me to remember his dewty unto you and my mother whom he meaneth to be very shortlye, and them I shall wish my selfe with him: thus desiringe you and my mother of youre blessinges with my commendacions unto my Grandmother and my Sister(s?) paston?
