Letter 4th

Katesville
Saturday. Sept 11th 1858

My dear Mother,

I have been engaged all day, siding the new part
of this house. The addition will comprehend a sitting room,
with two windows 24 feet by 18 feet, one bed-room 14 x 12 and
another bed-room 10 x 12. The rest of the house is composed
of one sitting-room 14 x 18 feet, and two bed-room 12 x 12
one of which is mine. All the rooms are on the ground
floor. The partitions inside the house are lath and plaster
and it looks very nice. Below you have plan of the house
not on a scale.
