Saturday, Nov 15th, at 2PM,
played Yale at Hamilton Park
New Haven. Yale had a very
strong team and their men ran
heavier than Princeton's, but
our men seemed superior in
running, kicking & batting the
ball with the fist. In those
days it was allowable to bat
the ball with the fist provided
you did not get knocked down
in the attempt. Yale had a
system of backing with the
shoulder which laid our men
out all over the field for a time,
and we played a whole hour
without either side gaining a
goal. The ball then bursted
and they had to send back
to New Haven for another. They
commenced the game again
