September 19 Moderate South East wind with rain first part of twenty four hours. Last part of twenty fours south East wind dry and warm. 1st asst Edward Rice went to Newport for mail 2. PM and returned at 7 PM. Sea quite rough.

20 Moderate south East wind with rain first part of Twenty four hours. Last part of Twenty four hours Moderate South West wind dry and warm. General duties for the day. First asst working on quarterly report. Sea rough.

21 Light S.W. wind and dry first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light N.W. breeze dry and warm. General duties for the day. 1st asst scrubbing floor in tower and oil room. 2nd asst went to Newport + returned. Sea smooth.

22 Light to fresh N.W. breeze first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours fresh N.W. breeze dry and warm. General duties for the day. 1st asst went fishing. 2nd asst working in garden. Sea quite smooth.

East wind & calm these 24 hours first part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Last part of 24 hours cloudy but dry - Sea smooth - General duties for day - 1st & 2nd assts putting 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil-room - 1st asst also went fishing - Steamer Willamette Valley arrived today.

11: Light East & S. East wind & calm these 24 hours with clear fine and warm weather during 24 hours - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper waiting on Mrs. Plummer - 1st asst went fishing - 2nd asst went over to Newport - Steamer Willamette Vally sailed today.

12: Light N. East & North wind & calm these 24 hours with clear fine and warm - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper waiting on Mrs. Plummer - Mr. Isaac L. Smith 2nd asst left the station for Portland at 2 P.M. as a witness on the Alac Blanchard case. 1st asst went fishing.
