1: Light variable winds and calm first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light wind North with fair and warm weather during 23 hours - Sea smooth - Schooner Kate and Anne arrived and anchored south side of the cape at 11 A.M. Keepers cleaning and rakeing up around the buildings - Keeper cleaning and polishing table lamp and oil filler - 1st asst polishing storm pane clamps burner filler etc. today - 2nd asst showing eight visitors in the tower.
2: Light North wind these 23 hours with clear fine and warm weather - Sea smooth - Keeper cleaning and polishing lamp oil cans etc. today - 2nd asst showing vitiors in tower - 1st asst went fishing and to Newport - Had 11 visitors - Steamer Farallone sailed for Sanfrancisco from Yaquina - Barometer 29.82.
3: Light variable winds and calm with fair and warm weather these 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper went to Newport - 2nd asst showing visitors in Tower - Had eighteen visitors - Barometer 29.70 today.
4: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze South to S. E. to S. West these 24 hours with rain showers - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went to Newport to spend the fourth - Hoisted american ensign today - The barometer down to 29.68 today - Schooner Kate and Anne crossed in over Yaquina bar at 8 A.M.
5: Moderate breeze S. West with frequent rain showers these 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went to Newport on important business - 1st and 2nd assts showed visitors in tower - Had 27 visitors - Barometer 30.00 today.
6: Light variable wind light rain showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light North wind to moderate breeze N.W. clear fine weather - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Keepers scrubbing hall office and oil-room floors - 1st asst went fishing and to Newport. Had 7 visitors today.

11: Light South wind these 24 hours thick fog showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours heigh dry fog - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - 1st ass't went fishing - 2nd ass't showing visitors in the Tower - Had 3 visitors - 2nd ass't went to Newport - Steamer Farallone sailed for San Francisco at 2:30 P.M.

15: Moderate to fresh and strong breeze N. West with clear fine weather during these 24 hours - Sea smooth - Had seven visitors today - 1st and 2nd ass't showing visitors in the Tower - Keeper went to Newport to mail 1/2 dozen??? No. 5 wicks to Keeper of Hecata Head-light - 1st and 2nd asst picking out the rusty coal Oil cans and strewing them over the bluff - Those not rusty saveing them and storeing them away.
