Steamer Farallon arrived and crossed into Yaquina at 5.30 A.M. 4: Gale to fresh breeze S.E. to S. & S.W. thee 24 hours with rain, hail, thunder, and lightening. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day.Barometer 29.45 to 29.70. 1st asst went to Newport after mail and supplies. Left the Station at 2.30 P.M. Keeper working in shop painting flower pots. U.S. Light House tender Manzanita arrived off the Yaquina bar at 3.30 P.M. from the South and crossed into Newport at 5.40 P.M.

Mr. Theo Barker, Commander O.W. Farenholt, Light-House Inspector's Clerk arrived at the station at 10.30 A.M., made Inspection and left for Newport 11.30 A.M.

General duties for the day. Barometer 30.00 today. James B. Hermann 2nd asst returned to the station at 10.40 A.M. from Newport where he had been to procure supplies & recreation. U.S. L.H. Tender crossed out over Yaquina at 7 A.M. and passed this light going north.

Keeper and 2nd cleaning and preparing walls inside of Tower to whitewash it.

Keeper & assts putting 200 Gallon of Mineral oil in Oil-room. 1st asst went to Newport after mail and supplies and working in his Quarters.
