26: Fresh to moderate breeze and light wind S. West these 24 hours with frequent rain and hail squalls - Sea quite rough - Barometer 29.65 to 29.82 - Keeper working on Quarterly reports to Engineer and Inspector also painting picture mouldings and putting down carpets - 1st ass't cleaning and painting pipes leading to hot water heater - 2nd ass't cleaning Calsomining and painting in his Quarters.

27: Light S. East to South wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours light rain showers - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.93 to 30.00 today - Keeper and asst's putting new plate glass in Lantern to replace the one broaken by surf Duck - 1st ass't working on the road - Keeper and 2nd ass't painting and cleaning in their Quarters - Keeper working on Quarterly reports.

28: Light wind to moderate breeze East to S.E. and South these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Last part of 24 hours rain - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.86 - 1st ass't working on road - 2nd ass't went to Newport - Keeper painting in his Quarters and working on Quar. reports.

29: Fresh breeze S.E. and South to light variable winds these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - 1st ass't went to Newport after mail and supplies - Barometer 29.80 - Keeper and 2nd ass't painting and cleaning in Dwelling.

30: Light East wind with light rain first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds and calm fair weather and some fog - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.98 - Keeper working on Quarterly and monthly reports to Engineer and Inspector. Also putting dressing in garden and painting in his Quarters - 1st ass't working on road - 2nd ass't cleaning and painting in his Quarters.

31: Light East to North wind these 24 hours with thick fog moste of the time - Baromter 29.70 - General duties for the day - 1st ass't repairing roof of his Quarters - Keeper went to Newport to mail reports and get supplies - 2nd ass't went to Newport after supplies.
