1: Moderate breeze North to light S. East wind and fresh breeze South these 24 - First part of 24 hours fair weather - Last part of 24 hours light rain showers - Sea smooth - 2nd ass't putting wood in his celler - Keeper cleaning chicken house - Barometer 29.54 - 1st ass't left the station at 9:30 A.M. for Portland on important business to be absent four or five days. U.S. Light-House Tender Manzanita arrived off Yaquina bar at 3:40 P.M. and crossed into Newport.

2: Fresh to moderate breeze East and light North wind these 24 hours - with frequent rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.50 to 29.60 - General duties for the day - Keeper Frank M. Plummer went to Newport after mail and supplies.

3: Moderate breeze East to light S. East and South wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fair weather - Last part of 24 hours fair and some light rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.56 - 2nd ass't putting wood into his celler - Keeper doing house work - Commander W.P. Day Light-House Inspector and Engineer Rickards arrived at station at 11:00 A.M. Inspected Station and left at 12:10 for Newport.

4: Moderate breeze to variable winds these 24 hours with frequent rain showers - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.50 - Keeper went outside of the boundary gate after mushrooms - 2nd ass't working in shop - Keeper and 2nd ass't putting Mineral Oil in Oil-House or butts - Commander W.P. Day left three tons of Franklin Coal at Newport today to burn in hot water heater in watchroom to be hauled by Mr. Woodworth

5: Light variable winds these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fair weather - Last part of 24 hours frequent hard rain showers - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went outside of gate after mushroom - Barometer 29.52 to 30.00 today - 2nd ass't went to Newport after mail and supplies - U.S. Light-House tender came out of Yaquina at 6 A.M. passed Yaquina Head light at 6:30 going North.

6: Light S.E. wind light rain showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours - Light North wind clear fine and warm - Sea very smooth - Keeper went to Newport after supplies - Mr. Woodworth hauling coal from Newport - 1st ass't Edward Rice arrived at the station from Portland at 10 A.M. - 1st and 2nd ass'ts stowing coal away in the barn.

7: Light N. wind and calm these 24 hours with clear fine and warmer weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.14 - Keeper showing nine visitors in the tower - 1st ass't went fishing - 2nd ass't went over on beach after rock oysters.

8: Light wind to moderate breeze North with clear fine weather these 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Keeper and asst's cleaning and changing lennes lamp - Mr. Woodworth hauling coal from Newport - 1st ass't went fishing - 2nd ass't went on the beach after wood.

9: Light North wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fair weather - Last part of 24 hours thick fog - Sea moderately smooth - Barometer 30.10 to 30.02 - 1st and 2nd ass't stowing away coal that Mr. Woodworth hauled from Newport - Keeper went to newport after supplies.
