16 General duties for the day - 1st asst went to Newport to tack visitors notices up between stat & Newport - Keeper & wife showing 72 visitors in tower.

17 Fresh and moderate breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours fair some fog and smoke - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.88 to 29.90 - General duties for day - 1st asst printing notices for visitors and getting wood on beach - Keeper writeing in office and sawing wood in celler - Keeper is authorized by Inspector to exclude visitors from tower on Wednesdays & Saturdays.

18 Fresh breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours thick fog - Last part of 24 hours some fog and hazy - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.90 to 30.02 - Keeper 1st asst & Keepers wife showing visitors in tower - Had one hundred visitors today.

19 Fresh breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fog - Last part of 24 hours fair - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.02 to 30.06 - Keeper & 1st asst putting 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil butts and cleaning inside of lantern - Keeper and 1st asst and Keepers wife showing visitors in tower - Had one hundred and four visitors.

20 Moderate breeze and light north wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours heigh dry fog - Last part of 24 hours clear fine and warm - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.06 to 30.15 - Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies - 1st asst polishing brass work & cleaning windows in tower etc.

21 Moderate and fresh breeze north these 24 hours with fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.15 to 29.92 - General duties for the day - Keeper 1st asst and Keepers wife showing visitors in the tower - Had thirty two visitors.

22 Moderate breeze to light north wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fog showers - Last part of 24 hours clear fine and warm - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Barometer 29.92 to 29.96 - Keeper 1st asst and Keepers wife showing eight nine visitors in tower.
