15March 5 2 Gentlemen: In reply to your letter of the 2nd instant, I have to inform you that Col Woodruff, the Engineer of the 3rd Light House District, has been requested to have the lantern for Cape Foulweather Light House duly inspected, and if up to the requirements of the contract, to see that it is shipped on board steamer for California. The boxes will be marked "Major H.M. Robert, care of Major R.S. Williamson, Light House Engineer, San Francisco, California".
