Lifeless the harmless dust returns
to join its fellow clay

And angels guard the precious soul
to relms of endless day
The youthful bloom of life is fleed
with Every active power
How frail is mortal youthful bloom
a pleasant fading flower
Adue to Earth he seamed to say
Eternal joys are mine
My friends forbare to moarn for me
but doe prepare to joine
A glorious throng with harps of gold
to praise forevermore
Victoriously with all the blest
that Jesus do adore
Earth hath no Joys but sorrow crownes
and pleasures mix with pain
