L. Powell for the use of John Moragne in a plea of (?)- due by note not exceeding fifty Dollars. Herein fail not Given under My hand and Seal this 24th day of March 1841. James A Hughes L.S JP. Powell as leaser thirty five Dollars for value recieved January 18th 1840 H.Y. Washington Warner Washington Select $35. interest 62 /s2 cls Judgt on the 10th April 1841 I Signe the within note to John Moragne for value Recd, March 10th 1841 R L Powell {In Margin(ection)} State of Alabama) To any lawful officer Greeting Cherokee County) you are hereby commanded to levy and excecute Make and return of the goods and chattles of Warren Washington if to be found in your County as will be of value Sufficient to make the amount of thirty five Dollars. & Sixty two Cents (?) & the further Lein of nine Dollars. and 21 cents interest. and the further lein of one Dollar & eighty One cents cost which was by Robert S Gowan an acting Justice of the peace for Said County and judged to R. L Powell for the use of J. S. Moragne on the 10th day of april 1841. and a due return make to me at my office at Oat Hill on the Second Saturday in this instant Herein fail not to execute make and return Given under my hand and Seal this 3rd day of July AD 1844. County) Justice of the peace in and for Benton County do certify that Josiah Harper whose name is officially Signed to the within Execution is now and was at the time of the issuance an acting Justice of the peace for Cherokee County and that the Signature purporting (?) is genuine Given under my hand and Seal July 9th 1844 W.H. Estill (Seal) J.P. Came to hand the 5th day July 1844 and levied this exection on the following property to wit. one negro boy named Lewis for want of time to Sell These with return the same for and order of Sale of above property (?) July 9th 1844 Jas. P Gannon Const Superseded by (?) which was issued from the office of the clerk of the Circuit Court of Cherokee County dated 30th July 1844 which came to my hand 19th August 1844 Jas. P Gannon Const {In Margin (der of)} State of Alabama) To any lawful officer Greeting {In Margin ( ele)} Cherokee County) We Command you that you expose to Sale those goods and Chattles towit, one negro boy Lewis of Warner Washington to the value of thirty five Dollars & Sixty two and a Half cents principle & the further Sum of nine Dollars & 2 cents interest and the Sum of one Dollar & Eighty one & 1/4 c Cost, which according to our command you have taken and remain in your hands unsold as you have certified to me a Justice of the peace in and for Said County aforesaid to Satisy R. L. Powell who sues for the use of John S. Moragne the sum of thirty five Dollars.

J. to the Honorable Mathiss J Tressley Judge of the County Court of Cherokee County State of Alabama This petition of Warner Washington Showeth to your Honor, that he is a citizen of Benton County in Said State. That an Escecution of Which the following is a copy with the endorsement to wit. This State of Alabama Cherokee County.
