Know ye that we, having full faith in
your prudence and competency have appointed
you commissioners, and by there presents do
authorize you, or any one of you to examine Wil-
liam Staff, John Holder, James M. Garhity, James
Cunningham, Alexander Martin Hanks, Ben-
jamin F. Roper, Joseph Cowsert, Willie Taylor,
James Burnsides and Edmond T. Bush, as witnes-
ses in a cause now pending in our Chancery Court
for the 23d District Middle Division of said State, Coun-
ty aforesaid, wherein Hugh Cunningham is com-
plainant and Daniel Turnipseed is Defendant,
on the part of the Complainant, on oath, to be ad-
ministered, upon interrogatories to be annexed to this
commission; to take and certify the depositions of the
said witnesses, and return the same according to the
directions hereto annexed. Said witnesses to be exam-
ined on the 2d day of July between the hours of 8 o'clock
A.M. and 7 o'clock P.M. and said examination to con-
tinue from day to day till finished, a tthe residence of
Alexander M. Hanks in the county of Pickens and State
of Alabama - the complainant giving the defendant three days
notice
