that time, and they then make their calculations to pitch
a new crop. The crop is usually gathered, or nearly so,
at that time.

VII 7. To the seventh Interrogatory, he says:
Ans.- I know nothing of the making of the two note,
mentioned in the said Interrogatory, nor of the considera-
tion for which said note were given.

VIII. 8. To the Eighth Interrogatory, he says:
Ans. - In February, 1845, when I was at defendant's
house, as I have before stated, he said to me, "On part of
what Cunningham is oweing me, I have charged him
twelve and a half per.cent interest, and on part I have
charged him sixteen percent. I know nothing more
that is material to this case, or of advantage to the com-

by blood or marriage, that I know of.

Ans.- My business and occupation, at this time,
is farming, and it was the same in March, of
the year 1843.
