The said slaves are likely, and I took them
to be healthy, from their looks. To prevent any
misunderstanding, in reference to the values in
the first column of prices, I state that it is
intended to express that negroes of the ages here
mentioned, would have been worth those prices
in March, 1843.

III. 3. To the third Int.g he says-
Ans.- I know nothing about the birth
of any such children, and know nothing
about their ages and values, more than I
have stated.

IV. 4. To the fourth Intg he says-
Ans.- I know that some of said slaves have been
in complainants possession for eight or ten years. I
