Albert Edelfelt

Albert Gustaf Aristides Edelfelt (1854-1905) was a Finnish painter of Realist paintings whose nature paintings were often painted while outdoors. The article in "The Studio" magazine, Vol. 23, which is quoted in a correspondence to Jane Stanford, misspells his name as Edenfelt and lists him as from Sweden. He lived for some time in Antwerp, which at that time was in Belgium. The article in "The Studio" magazine, Vol. 23, which is quoted in a correspondence to Jane Stanford, misspells his name as Edenfelt and lists him as from the Netherlands.
