4th Sept 1858 Worming & succoring Tobacco
& Taking care of fodder — I am
going to Cedar Hill this morning &
expect to stay there to night me & my
my - I have been there the best part of
2 weeks stilling & getting Cider etc
& Jacob Graves I don't think has been
any whole day since I have been there
at home, gone to day to meadsville
No Rain yet dry & Hot

4 Fannie & Kate & Sallie came down to dayyesterday
Fine Rain this evening after which Fannie
went to Capt Fitzgeralds, Kate & Sallie went
up to Fannies this 5th in evening —

6th we are fixing to stack fodder this morning
& then pulling to day - clear fair morning
I have made 16 Jugs full of Brandy
10 at home & 6 at Cedar Hill making 16
in all & Jug holds 2 Galls 1½ quarts. Capt [L]

still, pulling fodder at Cedar Hill

5 I am going up there to day to sew
Turnip Seed etc my Patch has come very well at home
=nights quite cool, very sorry crop of corn &
Tobacco & wheat tho the Rains helps many things,

6th Pulling fodder at home clear & dry
Stacked 4 stacks here last night & expect
at Home this evening & at Cedar Hill
this evening lent Mrs Neale to go to mill Fillmore
Jacob went away last Saturday morning
& got back last night after 9 Oclock in
the night & I came home between 10 & 11
Oclock in the night —
Sent buck to Mill this morning with waggon
6 Bus. Corn & Sent after 6 Bushels meal
at mill & my hog at Mr Millers Plantation
got my Hog at home Stacked 1 stack at Jacobs
