Brumfield	November 20, 1857 - November 27, 1857 1857 Blankets given out this 20th Novr 1857 Federick^{Novr 20} 2, alse 1, Lila 1, little Henry 1 - Jordan 1, Malissa 1 for her children,= Hats or Caps Given out, 1 to Sandy 1 to Jerry Smith, & 1 to Abraham, - This has been a very Cold day & Shucked but very little Corn,- I went to Riceville but got no money — == 21st Housing Corn & shucking finished shoe making clear cold day not quite as cold as yesterday. 22nd Sunday about such a day as yesterday weather moderate some Fannie stayed here last night went home this morning 23rd commenced raining to day & stoped us from shucking I went for Mr Pigg to Hillfield very disagreeable in evening - - making Jerrys shoes etc making brooms Baskets etc — 24th Housing & shucking corn to day all day Cold day- did not get done Housing what was in pen, — 25.
