Hackworth, Henry Clay gone, give
$24 on the 1st july next -, so we go
Thermometer down to 10- this morning at
Sun rise, - Jacob here,
8th Began to Snow Sometime in the night
Wind N. E. Snow nearly shoe Deep this
morning & Thermometer 28 this morning
The Snow & wind is nearly as bad as 18th
Jany 1857 only not so cold still snowing
9 Oclock hard wind N. E. cant do any
thing but feed & make fires,- I have given
My Overseer Nubbins & shattered corn3 times
since he came here for his Cow & chickens
This is really a winters morning Our
Hogs gone again - -
9th Snowed about 1 Inch Deeper last night
weather moderated a little but still cloudy
Snow does not melt at all from 6 to
8 Inches Deep generally, cleaned out
Granary done some shoemending & but
little else yesterday to day Chumbly
[damage] store, we expect to Hunt Hogs
[damage] shop [hilve?] Hoes etc etc to day
