Brumfield	October 12, 1858 - October 19, 1858 Oct 12th It Rained this day firing Tobacco etc – 13th I went to Cedar Hill had the House washed out gathered some apples cutting down corn, Jacob gone to Lynchg - here & they are Housing our last Cutting filled new Barn firing 3, & had to carry some of new ground to mountain Barn, 14th Began to Plow for wheat yesterday in Lot Sewing to day firing Tobacco, getting succors & Knocking Tobacco stubble after plows, etc. overseer made Barn door yesterday Hung it etc etc Mr Hunts John came here this morning to Build overseers house chimney Buck Halling wood & Rails this evening 15th Sent cart to shop to have Tire Cut this morning on one wheel Mr Chumbly sent 2 Bus wheat & I sent 4 Bushels Corn to mill we are sewing wheat etc cleaning out Trenches. Lowry came down last night to Sew wheat. Finishing firing Tobacco to day John Jordan & little Henry building chimny 16th Buck carrying shingles to Cedar Hill carr^d 32 lbs Bacon in 6 lb Bacon for Kitty & Fed till 24th or 25.
