15th I went to Aspen Grove took Henry last
night laid foundation of negro House then
fixed molasses press Cutting in new gound
etc Sent Smith to Faris s mill 2½ Bushels
wheat for flour

16. Raising Double House at aspen Grove
for negroes, Raining in evening –

17 Rained nearly all night & at it this morning
chumbly sharpening grub Hoes & making s[ta?]
for Granary - Ben stoped machining at
Mr Faris s & did not get done on acct Rain

18th Raining yet & warm fine weather,
Miss Sarah McCullock from Capt Whiteheads
Funeral home with us -

19th I went to Court. Rained at night, cut big bo[?]

20 Rained last night went to assocation
to day Miss Sarah McCullock here & Mrs Hunt
here too. wet time for association all my
children here Monday night. & Mary James too
& to night 9 messengers from asso. here,-

21st cloudy this morning & like for rain
wormed & toped over our Tobacco covered one
Plant Bed & Halled leaves etc etc yesterday
& to day now some will go to meeting
& some cutting

22nd I went to meeting at association our folks
Cutting, Bro Burroughs & Miss Laura Hazelwood
came with us, to day we are cutting I stay at
home & my wife goes to meeting, chumbly & his wife
going - cloudy & like for Rain

23rd Rained last evening & night cutting to day
Sent over to Mr Hunts place for things got in
Lynchg by Bybee, Miss S. McCullock here yet
Miss Sarah McCullock went home this evening
found Fannies mules at Wm Tuckers.

24th Fine growing weather toping & working our
Tobacco to day succoring & worming etc etc
Hester proves not to be in foal by Colo White
Horse Esau, finished Tobacco.
