1861 Augt 24th Finished over Tobacco worming Toping
& Succoring & went to Cutting Logs for Little House
in yard etc.

[2]5 I am sick stayed at home all day.

[2]6th going to Mrs Fitzgeralds myself claiborne
gone to Mrs Pannills to Raise Granary setting
up 2 Hhds to day Balance grubing in next
years corn field to day - Mr Chumbly &
Henry set up 2 Hhds to day & Henry went to
aspen Grove & Loaded waggon with 1 Hhd
[lost in margin] cake of fine, & then came here & got a cake
got 2 Bushels Corn from aspen Grove 75 lbs oats
[&?] 100 lbs fodder Cothrans Crop Mr Hunts Est. waggon

[2]7th Henry started monday morning 26th 2 Hhd started this morning & likely for rain
to Lynchg with Tobacco from aspen Grove Cothran
Hhd & a Tub, of fine 2 Bus. Corn 100 lbs fodder
75 lbs oats, carried a small cake from home
[&] his own in a Box,- our hands Grubing in
Corn field & Mr Chumbly & little Henry & Bob
Hewing ps for House,

[2]8th Raining a little off & on good part of the day
Working on work house Halled some wood
I went to Plantation in evening - shelled a little Corn

[2]9th Raining again this morning, shelling
Corn, Rained till nearly 12 oclock working
on new House Chumbly Henry got back
about night warm & went ———

30. I went to CH on Business of Est. Our folks
worked on work House Daubing Covered &
got the Boards. Henry waggon to aspen Grove

31 at work in Tobacco all day toping
worming & succoring - I went to Fannies to settle
her business with her overseer Walker in 1860

Sept 1st I went to meeting at Strait Stone -

2nd Halled pieces Brick to finish chimney to new
House Sent Smith to Yates with wheat for flour
I am going to Wallers & Plantation to day –
