22nd I went to Keens Mill Carried 1Bbl Corn
for us meal 2½ Bus. for Dalton & 1 Bus
for Lowry fencing on Out side fence
in corn field, did not get Done
Estes & Tommy went to Plowing at
12 Oclock Lowry got 2 Pigs & Big shoat from
Mr Lewis's this morning. Halling up 1
Stacks Oats this 23rd day of April 1868
23rd Clear this morning & moderate

23 Lowry Carried load manure to mountain
Plant Bed finished Halling rails at
mountain & brot Load dry wood home
Plowing Lot back old prize barn for
Corn, Cow getting better
24th Began to Hill yesterday evening hilling
to day Mr Dalton made over 300 to day
Estes Tommy & Doron Plowing for corn
25th Saturday close Cloudy this morning Mr Dalton
& Tommy Hilling to day Lowry coltering
Estes Plowing with 2 Horses in lot for Tobacco
nearby done breaking corn land
Red Sulphur Springs Sister Sarah
McCullochs address Rained this evening
26th Cloudy & like for rain misting some
Nannie & Pride gone to Jerrys yesterday &
expect them back to day - quite cool
27 Hilling & coltering Pride Plowing Fresh ground
for Tobacco Estes finished Plowing for corn except
Some places on Branch
28th we will plow with 2 Horses in new ground
Turn over Some plant Beds & then we will begin
to Plant corn Fair morning & pretty weather
