1871 Sept 14th Worming & succoring Tobacco in
the morning working in fodder & Tobacco
tolerable clear this morning Pulling fodder
& worming Tobacco succoring toping Very warm

15th. Worming & succoring tobacco I Started to See
Mr Stone Jerry & to go to Mr Whiteheads Stayed all
night at Jerrys worming & succoring Tobacco &
toping all I come home about night this day

16th. Still Cloudy & Warm Worming & Succoring Toba
Not Near done pulling fodder yet.
Sent Doron to Post office this morning

17th. Sunday little CloudySam made new Cow pen - Weather moderate

18th. Worming & Succoring Tobacco in fresh ground
& Lot fodder not pulled yet. Cloudy & like for
Rain nights a little Cool, days I went to Court
Sunday & got back last night

19th. Worming & Succoring tobacco till Dinner &
in Fodder field Pulling, Set Coal Kiln fire
last Monday & now Burning
My Wife & Doron Went to See Kate & Jerry this
Morning turned Very Cool & Windy this evening.

20th. Pulling fodder Still Very Cool burning
Coal Kiln at this time

21st. Pulling fodder Sam Ben & Lewis helped
began a little before Dinner time to day
Fair last night & this morning Finished to day
at 12 oclock pulling fodder all except m[y]
young corn above granary, Alice & Whitlock [here]

22 Worming & Succoring Tobacco & Working in fod[der]

23rd. Same work I went to Mr Hunts place [lost in margin]
etc Clear pretty weather, frost Thursday morning

25th Drawing Cole[coal] this morning –

26th Worming & Succoring Tobacco this morning
Finished Stacking fodder yesterday clearing
Finished drawing coal yesterday

27 Drawing Coal & Hauling to prize Barn
Worming & Succoring Tobacco etc

28 Fixed Bridge & finished Hauling Coal
