1872 Sept 1st Sun day Tolerably cool this morning
Finished worming & succoring fresh ground yesterday
clear cool morning I am going to Sunday School
My Crippled sheep gone Died first of this week
have got but 5 sheep now
2nd Sept 1872 Beautiful weather for saving fodder
Pulling fodder all about House & in fresh ground to
day Martin Smith Sam Tucker & Sey Marshall
& Edmond Tucker pulling @ 9 Oclock this morning
Remarkable to Say Rain or Shine Hail Snow or Sun Shine
Mrs Wyatt nor Andrew has Stayed at any Sunday
all day this year nor Tom Talbot before he left
3- Martin Sey Marshall & Andrew Wyatt pulling
fodder from Top to bottom in Big or fresh field to day
after the morning worming & succoring Tobacco in Lot
4 Worming & succoring our Tobacco in Lot
Sam Roper & his gang pulling fodder on Mountain
5 Ben went to Mill after Tying up fodder me
& Sam nearly all day Martin helped us put up 1 Stack
Blades [tyed] up all we had down Rained but little
this evening. I have been Sick 2 or 3 days myself
6 Worming & succoring Tobacco on Branch & finished
& then Started in fresh ground & worked in fodder __
7 Worming & succoring Tobacco fresh ground [?????]
gone fair weather, I am too unwell to go meeting
8 Mr Moses & Bro Reeves came here last night
I am Still sick tho a little Better.
9th. Not a hand did not come to help me
pull fodder Andrew wormed & succoring Tobacco
in fresh ground & finished Doct [Simon] came here
to see me I am not well yet
10th Sam Tucker Martin & Francis Lain here [working]
some Tobacco in Lot then went to cutting tops in
fresh ground did not get done before it rained
& after it rained went to worming Tobacco in
Lot. Keeps raining a little Sam pulled Some
fodder tyed up some & wormed & succored Some
we are doing but little of any thing.
