Tuesday, July 27, 1920

A good cool day. Ben & Jim
topped tobacco all the morning.
At twelve they went to
Mt Airy and to Barbers.
Bought 100 pounds of
sugar and paid 28
dollars for it.
This evening Hattie brought
some berries. I caned
them. Mr Carter &
wife & girl and Mr
Hunt Hargrove & Miss
Alice Hubbard come
here a few minutes.
I was glad they
they come. They went
to Strait Stone to
preaching. Josie and
the children and I
went to Carries.
