a few minutes and he came in at the side door. He had some parcels in his hand, and he came in and he looked worn out fatigued, and I said "What is the matter with you? You do not look well." He said "I am sick. I am going home." Well I said "That is right. Go home and rest and take care of yourself." He staid [stayed] in the office a few minutes, and went out. I think that was on Thursday afternoon about four o'clock "PM"[scribbled out] if my memory serves me right. I went to the house on Monday Evening afterwards and staid [stayed] there with him in the house until he died, and until the funeral.

Willingness to give all the information you had?

A Yes all the information I could. I went down to the Gunn's "Cohen"[scribbled out] office at his request that we should have a meeting there, us three together and look over the books and explain matters, and Mr. Wilson did not come. It was then left for Mr. Wilson to make another appointment because I "wanted"[scribbled out] brought the word up "it"[scribbled out] and I think I wrote a note to that effect. He never made any appointment for me to go with him to Gunn's office.

Q You never received any communication from Mrs. Colton at all asking you to explain anything?

A Not a word: not a word in no way shape or manner, from her or through anybody else that I am aware of.
