Sun Jun 22 Nice but pretty warm. We finished irrigating from the Larimer Co ditch to day [today] because the water failed us and when we will get any more the Lord only knows. Mr Smiths folks came out and we had a splendid visit. Mr Smith and I went out to his place and found things doing well his crops look real flattering.

Mon June 23 Very nice hay day but pretty hot for comfort. Lew finished the windy hill corn and then went to the mountain ranch started ½ past 10 I should think. I commenced mowing to day [today] on the 10 acre piece found it pretty heavy in spots but we got along as well as we could expect.
