Sat June 28 Nice as ever. Dave went to town shopping. Lew and I hauled 3 loads of hay from the piece East of the lake. Finished the first stack next the fence it has just 10 loads in it and commenced another with one load in it for a beginning.

Sun June 29 Nice as Ever. The water was put into the Larimer Co Ditch and got along about noon and Mr Balcom turned out 15 inches to the share for us. We put it on to the corn and it seems to be spreading pretty nicely. We had lots of company to day [today]. Ett and the girls Charlys folks Will Dixon and Lill Handy and to night [tonight] Jo Crawford is here so as to go to work at haying in the morning.

Mon June 30 Nice day. Dave went to town with som [some] fish and cherries and picked some 20 qts for a man to take to Cheyenne.Lew and Joe Crawford hauled hay stacked 5 loads and got another on the wagon. I irrigated some and mowed this afternoon on the piece South West of the house.

Tues July1st Nice. Lew and Jo hauled 2 loads of hay which finished the 10 acre piece 18 big loads. Then they mowed with scythes about the yards and orchard. We are trying to irrigate the 10 acre piece with a very small show for water. Dave didnt do much. I mowed finished the two little pieces in the afternoon mowed over on our own piece. [up from bottom on left edge:] Organised a farmers aliance [alliance].
