Sun FEBRUARY 10. About like the rest mostly clear and quite warm. Will Kingland came over and rode Topsey. Lew went with him up to Necces. She bucked a little but not long. Mother and I kept Sunday.
FEBRUARY 11. Mon Pretty windy so we couldnt get the load of hay home so we sawed up the big log and Lew split up most of it and I cleaned up and wheeled of the chip manure and put it about the trees and cleaned out the hen houses.

Tues FEBRUARY 12. Pretty nice to day and quite warm in the afternoon. We went over to C V Howards and got a small load of hay in the forenoon which finished the 10 tonz [tons]. In the afternoon we begun to fix things up near the house.
FEBRUARY 13. Wed Blowed like 79 all night and some this morning. We hauled 3 loads of rock this forenoon from windy hill and in the afternoon Lew started for Barlows to get a cow for Frank Kingman. I worked at making wall for a trellis north of the house.

Thurs FEBRUARY 14. Rather on the stormy order especially just at night. Lew has not got home yet. I worked at the terrace wall what time I could get but the chores made me busy quite a lot.
FEBRUARY 15. Fri Found about 4 inches of snow this morning and snowed a little during the day. Lew got home about 2 O clock and fetched the cow all right. I worked at the wagon rack a little but not very much.

Sat FEBRUARY 16. Pretty cold to day some 10 and 12 deg above zero. Lew went to town and after he got back went to the Richard place and got and put into the windy hill field Kate and the 4 heifers. I tinkered around some but didnt do much.
FEBRUARY 17. Sun Right cool this morning 6° below zero and cold and raw all day. Lew went to town sparkey I gues [guess]. The rest of us kept pretty close to the fire for a regular business.

Mon FEBRUARY 18. Pretty cold and disagreeable. We done the chores good and Lew worked at repairing the old single harness but I didnt do much of anything only keep warm.
FEBRUARY 19. Tues Looked pretty stormy this morning but didnt snow much after all and to night it is clear and cold. Lew fixed up the stool. I done about the same as yesterday.
